Fun Photos

I was looking at some of our old picture, and thought it would be fun to post some of the sillier, unseen ones.

This is our cat, Willow. She loves to crawl into, behind, under, and on things. I left my empty backback on the floor and saw her one morning after I woke up. :)



Shae was doing a project for school, and we had to take some pictures of her posing. She is very photogenic.

When I went up to Washington for my sister Rachel's wedding, I took my dog Molly with me. It was July and really hot. Molly found a way to cool off that day, even at one point laying in the birdbath. Hopefully the birdies didn't mind too much!

This is my large, fraidy-cat, Gomer. For some reason, he likes to sit this way. When he does, I call him Jabba-the-cat. :)

My work used to host an annual Christmas party. It was a fun time to dress up and go out for a night for Mike and me. This is the first year we went, and after I cut my hair. I still don't know what I was thinking when I did that. Mike, as usual, is NOT looking at the camera.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Crickett. Normally she doesn't photograph well, but in this one she almost looks like she did something bad. "Please don't send me to my bed!" :)

The summer after Mike and I married, we decided to start work on our backyard. Here Mike is building the back patio.

I'll have to post photos of the finished product someday. It is finished, I just never took the pics of it.

One morning, I was sitting on our couch and noticed that sometime during the night AT&T had come and put their logo on our carpet.... Well, maybe not. But the sunshine through the blinds sure had me convinced! :D

When Mike is at work, I usually take that time to work on homework, housework, or play on the internet. This is the scene behind me normally. You'll notice that ALL of our animals are in the room with me. I have four little shadows. Molly even knows how to use the pillow.

When my family first moved to Colorado in 1994, there were usually some really big snowfalls. This picture was taken the year Mike and I got married. The snow was taller than Molly, and she had to try and bound through it like a rabbit.

This was the only snowfall for 08-09 that we received, and this was at the end of March! What a difference!

Now it's been raining almost every day for 3 weeks. Hopefully we won't be in a drought this year.

This is Willow again trying to get into a small space. For some reason she wanted to try to crawl into the pillowcase with the pillow....

"It wasn't me. I didn't do anything!"

Vacation

Here are more pictures from our vacation. We had such a good time, and it's been hard to be back at home and work. :)

The first night we saw Kariya, she and I were making different animal noises. When it came to the monkey, she made the arm movements too. It was priceless. This is a short video of her doing that again.

My dad is building a shop at his home... It is actually as big as a home. It will be big enough for a little apartment, shop, and game area!

My dad also raises sheep to help control the weeds on his property. This is Chocolate and Winkin. The sheep are really interesting but usually scared of new people.

This is Riverfront Park. I love seeing this structure when I am in Spokane. It reminds me of home I guess. This was built for the World's Fair in 1976 I believe.

These are pictures of the Spokane River. Normally the river flows pretty good, but the level was very high this year from the record snowfall.

Proud Auntie and Uncle

Mike and I went to Spokane for a week long vacation. It was so wonderful to see everyone, relax, and catch-up on family news. Hopefully we'll be able to do it again before too long. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Well, I'm sure you're all aware of how funny Mike can be. He thought it would be hilarious to invite his brother to lunch while we were driving to Washington. Mike's brother and dad live nowhere near the route we were on, but lo and behold we got a call from my father-in-law wanting to meet us! I guess Mike's joke backfired a little. :) It was nice to see Mike's dad for a few minutes - plus he got to enjoy a nice ride on his new motorcycle.

Mike took these pictures from the car. They turned out surprisingly well since we were traveling on the interstate.

I think these are called the Crazy Mountains - which they kind of were. Just a little cluster of mountains aways off from the Rocky Mountains. They are beautiful to look at.

During one stretch of our trip , I woke Mike up because I wasn't sure I was seeing things correctly. Mike confirmed that the train by us was definitely carrying the cabin sections of three planes. I didn't know they were assembled in multiple locations.

This one looks like the wings are peel-and-stick with the rectangle of white where the wing would go. :)

The first day of our vacation Dad and Mom hosted a family barbecue. "Noni" made a mess and my niece, Kariya, helped clean it up. Molly was watching for a chance to 'help'.

My sister, Rachel, and my shy niece. She warmed up to us rather quickly. She reminds me of a movie star with the big hat and glasses in this picture.

One of Kariya's birthday presents from Mike and me was a doll stroller. It was too awkward to mail, so we gave it to her late. She liked it right away, and took her 'baby' all over the house.

Kariya's puppy, Webster. He is so little, so cute, and so everywhere. He took to our dogs right away. I fortunately got this picture taken when I did, because Molly snapped at the unsuspecting trespasser right after.

Mike took this picture without my knowing. I try to avoid the camera. :) Here I am playing and learning with Kariya. We were identifying colors, numbers, and animals. She is very smart for her age.

Kariya took to our dog, "Mowee", right away. Molly wasn't very sure how to be around a little person, but she soon figured out kisses were OK. This is also a 4-generation picture of Kariya, Rachel, Noni, and Mo-mo.

Our dogs were very good but did some funny things while we were there. These two photos show how my dogs really think about themselves. My big lab tried to fit into a tiny dog bed. It's hard to see since she is too dark to be photogenic.

Molly, on the other hand, only slept on the biggest bed there. I guess we know who's top dog in our home. :)

This is the Buggy Barn. They have quilting material available. The building was originally a buggy barn at the turn of the 20th century. Two sisters restored it and now sell quilts, fabrics, patterns, and more. It was fun to indulge a little in one of my hobbies.

That's all I will post for now. We have some more pictures of our trip and other things. I also got a couple of videos of my very cute niece to share.
